Stephen B. Fainsbert is the senior and founding partner of the Firm and has been engaged in the private practice of law for forty years,specializing in real estate transactions. Mr. Fainsbert's practice encompasses the representation of clients in connection with the purchase and sale of residential and commercial property, including office buildings, apartment buildings, warehouses, retail buildings, single family residences and vacant land; negotiation and drafting of residential and commercial leases; structuring of real property acquisitions; real estate financing issues including the negotiation and documentation of loans secured by real property; resolution of easement disputes; avoidance of reassessment upon transfers of property; and title issues. He is a leading authority on all aspects of tax deferred real property exchanges under section 1033 of the Internal Revenue Code, including the structuring and implementation of multi-party deferred exchanges. John A. Mase is a corporate and real estate transactions attorney with an emphasis in taxation. Mr. Mase is certified by the State Bar of California as a Specialist in Taxation Law and has passed the CPA examination. Mr. Mase lectures regularly on a variety of business and taxation issues and has taught classes at University of Southern California, Golden Gate University and Boston University. David S. White is a senior civil litigation partner, specializing in litigation in state and federal courts involving all aspects of real estate law, business disputes, intellectual property, defense of employers and alternative dispute resolution including mediation and arbitration.
